By the conscientious and timely use of the principles and means of common foundationing in people suffering with diabetes, such sad calamities as amputations will become rarities. Ulcers of the feet or other parts can be materially aided towards a speedy and successful recovery and thereby gangrene avoided. Providing the proper diet is followed, nothing increases and maintains the strength and resistance of the diabetic as well as persistent and thorough use of the antisepticizing treatments ; these treatments are the best safeguard for the prevention of infection.
