Education In Canada( Originally Published 1912 ) With the exception of Quebec the various provinces of Canada have a similar school organization, of which Ontario serves well as a type. The elementary school consists of four " forms " of two years each, with a continuation form of one or two years in some places. The secondary school is a " high school," following directly upon the elementary school, and leading in a four-year course to the university. Of the eight universities in the Dominion, Dalhousie, at Halifax, is the oldest (1818), and Toronto is the largest (over 2500 enrolled). |
