Many women have a superstitious idea that if they wear their birth stone good fortune will always attend them. Let us hope so. The stones for the different months on the American system* are:

January—Garnet or Rhodolite.
February—Amethyst.
March—Jasper, Californite.
April—Sapphire.
May—Tourmaline, Chlorastrolite.
June—Agate, Moss Agate.
July—Turquoise.
August—Golden Beryl.
September—Kunzite.
October—Aquamarine.
November—Topaz.
December—Ruby, Rubellite.
