BALBO'S WINE

Before undertaking their tremendous and victorious long-distance flight from Italy to the United States, General Balbo and his brave men stored a supply of Marsala in the cockpits of their airplanes.

PASTEUR ON WINE

The illustrious Pasteur, who solved the scientific problem of fermentation and whose discoveries have enabled millions of lives to be saved, declared that wine may rightly be considered as "the most wholesome and the most hygienic of drinks."

WINE AND LONG LIFE

A few years ago a feast of longevity was held at St. Julien, in the Gironde Department of France, to demonstrate that wine drinkers live long. Thirteen golden and one diamond weddings were celebrated by the town-folk. Octogenarians attended a banquet and subsequently took part in a dance.

"No wine is more suited to become an old man's darling than Moselle-digestible, not acid, nonsulphurous and no tomorrows in a dozen bottles."
