The first official world's aviation record in England was achieved by M. Paulhan on November 6th at Esher. Under perfect weather conditions he sailed over the town and neighbouring fields, attaining a height of 977 feet. He thus beat Rougier's performance at Antwerp, when he rose to 885 feet.
